Lotus Exige S British GT Special Edition
Lotus is celebrating the winning of the British GT3 Team Championship with a limited edition version of the Exige S. Besides wearing the same colors as the race car, it includes just about every upgrade you could imagine – wheels, exhaust, braided brake hoses, sport pack suspension, etc. The cars are being built by Lotus Sport. Not surprisingly, it’s available to UK-based customers only. More info can be found at the Lotus Cars website, or you can view the brochure for the car in EliseInfo’s Gallery. (Via EliseTalk)

Lamborghini Gallardo GT: Sport, from ItalCarDesign
Let’s get one thing straight right away – ItalCarDesign is NOT the same as legendary Italian automobile styling company ItalDesign. Far from it. Ascari A10
British carmaker Ascari is unveiling its limited production (only 10 will be made) version of the KZ1 supercar, called the A10. With 625hp and weighing in at only 1200kg, performance is sure to be inspiring. As is its price tag, around $445 US dollars (though don’t expect to be able to actually BUY one of these in the US). Read more over at Pistonheads, or check out Ascari’s website.

TVR moving to…ITALY?!
In this age of cost cutting, moving factories to other countries is not all that unusual. However, the last thing I expected to read about were rumors that British car company TVR would be moving production to Italy, of all places. I’m no labor or economics interest, but I’ve read about how trouble with labor unions wrecked havoc for Lamborghini decades ago, and I don’t think things have changed a whole lot. Besides which, I can’t imagine labor costs being much less. However, some cost savings could come by having existing automotive suppliers in Italy do the assembly work – leveraging their infrastructure and overhead. Read more over at Pistonheads.
