New study confirms that SUVs are NOT safer than cars
As reported on CNN, a new study finds that kids are no safer riding in an SUV than in a regular passenger car. Evaluating only 1998 and newer vehicles, researchers found that while SUVs were somewhat safer in regular accidents, their propensity for rolling over offset that advantage.

Four door Aston Martin?
When Lotus helped Aston Martin develop their new Vertical Horizontal vehicle architecture, the intention was to design a platform that could be easily modified to produce substantially different vehicles. The DB9 was the first car to use it, followed shortly thereafter by the smaller AMV8. Now, Aston Martin is supposedly set to introduce a four door sedan this month. While the car shown here is technically just a concept, it’s hard to believe they won’t be shipping this to the showrooms this summer. (source)

260hp turbocharged Pontiac Solstice GXP
Coming as no surprise, Pontiac will be unveiling a 260hp turbocharged version of its Solstice roadster at the LA auto show this month. It’ll be in showrooms this summer for a $4-5k premium over the base Solstice. (source: Autoweek).
