BMW M6 launched
BMW is launching the new M6 coupe with one heck of a motor – a 507hp V-10 putting out 383 foot pounds of torque (and reving to 8250 rpm, quite high for a V!), mated to a seven speed sequential gearbox. In spite of that though, it only manages a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds (matching the 190hp Elise)…this seems to indicate that this BMW is a bit, well, porky (in spite of its carbon fiber roof and weight saving materials in its engine). It’ll make a great GT car though, which really is its main purpose. More pictures over at Pistonheads.
